ROASTED JAPANESE GREEN TEA POWDER JAPANESE HOJICHA - PREMIUM DRINKING GRADE

Our Hojicha (roasted green tea) is sun grown and made of finely ground tea leaves from
the first harvest of the Spring in May in Kagoshima, Japan. Roasting the tea leaves at
high temperatures after being steamed is what gives Hojicha its unique aroma, naturally
earthy, sweet taste and a beautiful reddish brown color. Hojicha has a light caramel-like
flavor with subtle sweetness and nutty undertones. Hojicha contains a lower caffeine
level as compared to other types of Japanese green teas.

Essentials for making our Hojicha experience at home:
- Hojicha bowl (Chawan), bamboo spoon (Chashaku) and a bamboo whisk (Chasen)
- 80 Celsius degrees water
- Whisk 1 bamboo spoon (1/2g) of Hojicha, depending on the desired intensity and
creaminess, with 30 to 60 ml warm water (80 degrees celcius) up to 20 sec in a
fast W-movement to get frothy. Tip: check our website for video recipes.
