The Matcha Society is a fast-growing, high-end matcha store known for its ceremonial matcha, atmosphere, and minimalist design. We’ve created a concept that combines Japanese tradition with modern lifestyle — all in a to-go-friendly setting and a Society feeling and experience.

What are the Requirements?

To be considered, you should be:
– 3+ years in hospitality or retail leadership
– great at planning, delegating, and giving feedback
– strong interpersonal and communication skills
– with an eye for aesthetics and clean presentation
– about wellness, high-quality food, and drink
– hands-on and committed
– (Dutch is a plus)

What your job would look like:

You are the driving force behind the daily operations, team spirit, and customer experience. Key Responsibilities include:

• Team Management & Leadership
o Recruit, train, coach, and motivate our growing team of baristas and sales ambassadors
o Create and manage shift schedules and staff planning

• Operational Excellence
o Oversee stock levels, supplier communication, and inventory orders
o Ensure smooth daily operation: cleanliness, efficient workflow, and product quality
o Handle daily cash flow, POS system, and performance tracking

• Society and Customer Experience
o Guarantee an elevated and personal customer experience
o Handle guest feedback and ensure customer satisfaction
o Uphold our aesthetic and service standards and maintaining the Society feeling with our customers and staff

• Planning & Administration
o Monitor daily performance, plan for peak hours and seasonso Keep track of staff hours, workshop sign-ups and planning
o Communicate weekly insights and improvements with Founder

• Workshops & Events
o Coordinate, Lead, train or support ceremonial matcha workshops
o Evaluate team members providing the matcha workshops
o Coordinate in-store events in collaboration with our creative team
